Distance to the City Centre
Conveniently set to the south of St. Petersburg, the Pulkovo Airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 is about 23 km from the south of the city and Terminal 2 mainly serves almost all the international traffic, which is set about 17 km from the city centre.
Transport from St. Petersburg
The Pulkovo Airport (LED) serves the city with mainly all international flights and has great connections. It is located around 12 miles from the city centre. Take any of the 40 buses that charge ₽40 and takes 30 minutes to reach the city centre. Comparatively, a taxi would cost around ₽1,000 for the same journey. There are five main train stations and super speedy service that takes only 5 hours for ₽2,000 to reach the city.

Tips for your stay in St. Petersburg
- Reserve your cheap flights and hotels in advance for days between May and September as you can experience the White Nights. Be prepared for higher accommodation rates as its the peak time for St. Petersburg.
- Although, applying a Russian visa is not at all painful but it is recommended to go through ILS instead of standing in long queues in front of the Russian Embassy. Submitting the documents at least 2 months before the departure to Russia, St. Petersburg will be a lot safer than booking at the last moment.
