Distance to the City Centre
The Samui International Airport is connected with Bangkok by Bangkok Airways. The best way to reach the town is via a minibus and you can alternatively take a car rental for your travels.
Transport from Koh Samui
There's no direct connect through trains from Bangkok to Koh Samui. So you can instead choose to travel by car and drive to the ferry ports at Surat Thani or Chumphon from Bangkok and will take approximately 8 hours. When it comes to the buses, it is the cheapest way to travel in this Thai Island.
