Best Time To Visit
High peak season in Harare occurs between the months of April and October and the weather during this period is dry. Note that temperatures rise quite considerably, between September and October. Spring is a great time to visit, as Harare hosts several festivals, including the International Festival of Arts (HIFA) and the Harare Jazz Festival in April and the Bulawayo Music Festival in May.

1. Nyanga National Park
Nestled in the striking mountain range covering the eastern part of Zimbabwe, Nyanga National Park boasts evergreen forests, high grasslands, cliffs, waterfalls and lovely lakeside cottages. Trout fishing is very popular and the trout hatchery is well worth a visit.
2. Experience Zambezi National Park
Just a few kilometres from the town of Victoria Falls in the Zambezi National Park, a scenic reserve that remains surprisingly remote and is having a considerable resurgence after decades of poaching and neglect.
3. Experience True Feel of Bulawayo
Rich in historical associations, Zimbabwe’s second city, Bulawayo is home to the National Museum which is one of the most-visited attraction here. The ancient and eye-catchy Khami ruins are located nearby, while to the south is the Rhodes Matopos National Park, marked for its unusual formations of huge granite boulders.
4. Experience a Canoeing Safari
Boat safaris and canoeing are popular substitutes to the traditional game drive in Harare, Zimbabwe. Boats can be hired for a day, week or a little longer at Lake Kariba. Amid April and November, you can indulge yourself in the famous canoeing safaris which range from 3-10 days. It is done along the Zambezi River past the Mana Pools flood plains.
5. Gawk at Great Zimbabwe National Monument
Without paying a visit to the Great Zimbabwe National Monument, a trip to Zimbabwe is not considered complete. In the south of Africa, near the Egyptian pyramids, it is the largest complex of ruins. These expansive and miraculous stone remains are what is left of a powerful city-state that thrived amid the 13th and 15th centuries, trading in gold.

The Robert Gabriel Mugabe Airport is about 15 km away from Harare city centre which makes it the most visited and famous international airport of this wonderful city.
Transport from Harare
There are very few buses available, for tourists or locals that travel to the city. Therefore, most people rely on taxis. If you are in a hurry, go for private cabs which are easy to find outside many major hotels. Taxi ranks are stationed around, mainly at First Street, Nelson Mandela Avenue, Union Avenue and Samora Machel Avenue.
