Overview
‘New city’ - the literal translation of Chiang Mai, a city-based out of northern Thailand. It is an ideal destination for people who are looking out for a backpacking or a laid back trip. The beauty and essence of this city lie in the oxymoron setting of its ancient temples and modern boutique hotels. There are so many hidden gems in the proximity of this city - there are over 300 ancient temples and is the native home to hundreds of Buddhists. The cultural history of the place with the modern touch of a plethora of bars and restaurants give Chiang Mai a much-needed tourist feel in the nights.
Ancient walls, moats and guarded walls give Chiang Mai its true characterization. The religious centre and the square-shaped outline of the city offers a variety of architectural beauty to the travellers visiting this beautiful yet unexplored city of Thailand.

Climate
The weather of Chiang Mai can be best described with three different seasons: rains, a dry and warm spell and a dry and cold spell. You will observe 6 months of the rainy span from May to October with heavy rains in the months of August to September. Rest of the months i.e. from November - April, there’s a dry spell with cool winds blowing in the months of November to February.
