Overview
Lying on the Gulf of Thailand's eastern coast, Pattaya has been there for decades as a quiet fishing village until its beauty was explored by American servicemen in the 1960s. Since then, the city has grown by leaps and bounds to include a thriving tourist industry, with a dining and nightlife scene that pulls out all the stops. You will fall under the spell of the area’s beauty, which you can experience at sunset along the beach every night, and in places like the lush Nong Nooch Garden.
The local culture is rich and has deep roots, with Buddhist, Confucian, and Taoist influences. It is also a tolerant, modern society where everyone is welcomed by legendary Thai hospitality. From the neon lights of the nightclub district to the sparkling waters of the Gulf, Pattaya is ready to show you the time of your life.
Climate
The climate is hot all year round, with an average temperature of 29 degrees Celsius. Since it is at the top of the Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya is subject to monsoons and has three seasons. The chilly season between November and February offers idyllic weather which isn’t too hot, a perfect time to reserve a flight to Pattaya.
